Here’s my walkthrough for An Elmwood Trail Episode 2, one of my favorite mystery games. I’ll be giving you a full step-by-step walkthrough so you know what to do.
This is an interactive game, where you can choose the way your character responds. In the beginning, it won’t matter much, but as the game advances you’ll discover certain things that will help you solve the mystery.
If you’re done with An Elmwood Trail Episode 1 walkthrough you know what to expect. The game starts with a message from Maxwell. That’s your starting point. Find out more about how to complete this game and save the day.
An Elmwood Trail Episode 2 Walkthrough
- Open Maxwell’s message and reply to his texts:
- It wasn’t hard to figure that out based on his statement.
- Thanks but am I missing something? Any specific reason for reaching out?
- So, that’s all? I say thanks and we are done?
- We both know that I don’t just assist in cases.
- Everyone knows about it. Still can’t believe that you were unable to solve it. Maybe you require a good assistant?
- What do you mean?
- Why me?
- What about others? Would they be fine with me taking the case?
- You were the one who closed the case. What is making you reopen it all of a sudden?
- Important info: Sylvia Brown… found pictures and a note.
- Why aren’t you picking up the case then?
- What would ADA be without you struggling on your trips?
- You know how to make someone work.
- Open Brown Murder Case Files
You’ll be given a recap of what happened in Episode 1 of An Elmwood Trail – The Missing Girl, and brought back to present times, to solve the case.
- You’ll notice after checking the handle that the brakes are broken and that it has Zoey’s initial on it.
- The box looks like it has dried up blood, but you can’t say whose blood is it.
- Inside you’ll see a symbol that was also on a crumbled paper.
- The box was sent as a threat most likely.
- Send for forensic analysis.
- Check the messages from the Unknown sender and reply:
- I’m going through her phone. I need some time.
- I have some speculations. Her friends and all these details are complicated. A lot was going on.
- I’ll tell you when it’s the right time.
- Are you tracking her phone?
- These kids… They have tried to lock me out of her phone.
- I will take care of the consequences so stop spying on me.
- If anyone is wasting my time, it’s you. So stop contacting me unless you have something useful to help my case.
- Check the message from Kevin and reply:
- Looks like she left it there for you to find it.
- Is the text written on the paper connected to you in any way?
- I received another parcel today. It might be related to what you found.
- Nothing really… some brown paper fillings… classic packaging.
- Kevin, the forest is a no-go, it’s out of bounds. It can be dangerous. I cannot allow you to go by yourself.
- I’m handling the case and I will find her.
- Kevin. NO. Listen to me.
- Kevin??
- As the Chicks and Kicks on Zoey’s phone activate again, go have a snoop at what they are talking about.
- Go and connect the relevant clues together:
- Brad, Betty, and Kyle know that we have access to Zoey’s Phone. +
- Zoey got removed from the group.
- Unknown is aware about others knowing that we have Zoey’s phone. +
- There must be a way Unknown is finding out all the information.
- Zoey might not be safe. +
- Someone is trying to threaten by sending the box with the broken bicycle handle.
- Go check Page 5 of her Diary.
- To open it go to Browser and enter the address bettyblogs.com
- Tap the Betty Blogs title and open the Can you feel it now? post.
- The last word of this blogpost is change so enter that password into Page 5 of the Diary.
- After you’re done reading that diary page, you’ll receive a phone call and remember the riddle:
“I dance with the wind,

- Go to the browser and enter the address: vault8.com/fire
- Click begin to start the game and pick the right choices:
- Woods
- Go around it
- Red flag
- The other way

- Manually open the trunk
- Back to camp (Found a lamp oil)
- Start on the next stage of the game:
- Riverside
- Maze

- Moving to another stage:

- Memory – Enter
- Rose – Raven – Snake – Hammer – Lightning – Red (piece of wood)
- Next stage:

- Go back until you reach the forest and find two paths.

- Now Join the meeting as Unknown and you will be given the task of finding the name and profession of the given target.
- Go on your phone to Browser and enter the address nlw.net and enter the IP address of Stealthrizzler: 94.134.248.86
- Solve the puzzle by pressing the red pieces to get his information:
- 28 years old

- Open up Hellen’s messages and reply:
- Do I know you?
- Don’t tell me how to do my job kid.
- I am not interested in what you have to say… Please don’t disturb me.
- Open Reggie’s messages and reply:
- Care to introduce yourself?
- I have no idea about anything you just said.
- Not again. I’m a busy man. Just do whatever you want.
- Reply to Melanie’s messages:
- Not again…
- Reply to Trey:
- Another kid… What do you guys want?
- Who are you here for? Betty? Kyle? Brad?
- How will you help Zoey and why is every kid texting me?
- And what is the source?
- Bettyblogs… Not again. I need to do something to shut it down.
- I don’t even have a PixaBowl account. I can’t do anything about it.
- You will be given a website pbmassrep.com
- I’ll check it out thanks.
- These kids are asking for attention and I have no time.
- Any specific reason for reaching out to me?
- How can you help me?
- What do you mean?
- Wait… You send me that image of Zoey getting in Mike’s car?
- Why reveal your identity now? Why hide it before?
- A complete mislead… Mike has not much to do with her case.
- What is it?
- Please tell me if you have something… I don’t have all day.
- Looks like a regular student going about her day
- The rest of the messages will be blocked.
- Go to PixaBowl and open Betty’s page.
- Look for the post with a poop picture.
- In the bottom right there’s the code tiWwChNT.
- Open the browser and enter the address Trey gave you pbmassrep.com.
- Close the ads and enter that code.
- Now you can go ask Kevin about the map in Zoey’s locker.
- Kevin… Are you back?
- I hope you are safe Kevin.
- Let me know if you have any idea about this map.
You can connect the relevant clues now:
- Everything detailed in Vault 8 must hold some significance.+
- We were invited to an anonymous meeting.
- Trey was the one who sent us the picture of Zoey getting in Mike’s car. +
- A picture of Zoey with a map in her locker.
- Betty doxxed our number in a hate post +
- Is there something Betty doesn’t want us to find?
- You need to go to Zoey’s diary and read the note.
- Solve the riddle to find out the password:
“I was six, he was eight,
racing the streets during fall.
My undying love for the season,
Gave me a name only he would call.”
- Go to Zac’s messages (in your phone) and send him this:
- Need a quick help Zac?
- When Zoey was younger, did she have a nickname, something only people close to her knew about?
- He says he used to call her Maple which fits the riddle.
- Okay… thank you. I’ll get back to you when I have more concrete information.
- Open the diary file and read that page and recover data.
- To solve the sudoku puzzle you need to enter the numbers so they don’t :

- Find the counselor’s number in Zoey’s messages.
- Right at the bottom you’ll find Mr. Davis but his contacts are private.
- Go into Zoey’s photo Gallery and look at the new picture of Mr. Davis’ desk.
- The number is 734-5599 click on it to chat with him:
- Hello this is Detective Adam Lane. I am a private investigator. Is this Ms. Davis from Riverstone High?
- Do you know Zoey Leonard?
- Did you give any counseling sessions to Zoey?
- If you can answer some of my questions it would help my case.
- Is it worth holding on to the information when you don’t know if she is even alive?
- You are ready to risk someone’s life for these crappy rules.
- Go talk to your son Jim:
- Whatever it is… Trouble your mother with it.
- This is your urgent matter? Stop texting for nothing.
- Calm down. Lock the doors and windows and go to bed.
- Don’t worry, I’ll see what I can do
- The last thing I want is to worry about you as well… so
- I’ll take care of this situation. Don’t worry. Let me know if you hear from her first.
- Go to your phone and call Amanda: 5912041 but she isn’t answering.
- Go talk to Kevin:
- You need to stop making stupid decisions. You could have gotten hurt.
- Do you know anything about this map? We only have half of it.
- Is this locker still in her name?
- Do you recognize any part of it?
- Okay, I need to take care of some personal business right now. We’ll talk about this later.
- Find a way to locate Amanda.
- Go into Zoey’s phone and open the Mail.
- There’s one from Phone Finder and a phone number: 3561999
- Go call that number and they will ask for your number.
- Give Amanda’s phone number 5912041 and they will give you a code: 4136
- Go into the Browser and write the address phonefinder.com
- Enter that code and you will be shown some towers.
- Click on the first three at the top.
- Go ask Tim for help, he’s in your messages at the bottom:
- Hey Tim, I need your help. It’s urgent.
- It’s about Amanda… She is not back home yet and her phone is switched off.
- She did text me that she needed to talk to me about something important.
- How does it matter?
- Please… help me find her. Jim is alone at home.
- Would I be here if I didn’t? (Send Tower coordinates.)
- Can you try to find leads as to where she could have gone by this?
- She has a friend in Olive Town. I’m pretty sure she is not there.
- Yeah, I’ll leave right now.
- Call me or text me if you find anything.
Connect the relevant clues:
- Zoey loved making meaningful maps and puzzles. +
- Having the map in her locker must mean that it’s important to her.
- The logo on Zoey’s map is of the school football team. +
- The map is not fully visible but it has some markings over certain areas.
- Zoey was having multiple sessions with the school counselor Mr. Davis. +
- Davis isn’t willing to share any new information.
- Find the map of that part of the school.
- Open the PixaBowl and scroll down to a Kyle post.
- It will give you the web address of the highschool: riverstonehigh.edu
- Tap the map icon in the top right corner and type football in the search bar.
- Tap on the map shown to get the clue.
- Go message Kevin and send him the map:
- This is the complete map.
- How?
- It’s just a school. How strict can they be?
- Who is it?
- That kid is never going to help us.
- Talking to Brad is a waste of time.
- Complete the data recovery on Zoey’s phone (tap on the notification on the top screen).
- Press on the round buttons in this order: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 8
- Check out the new email and go to Browser to enter the address littlehamsters.com
- Username: sleepykiwi
- Password: Jerrylovesfish (the three drawings on her last diary entry)
- Play with the hamster for a bit and talk to crossbar_36:
- Hello.
- I had exams. I kept my phone away so I could focus better.
- I aced it… until mom woke me up 🙁
- So what have you been up to these days?
- I haven’t received any since then.
- Yeah it’s going good… why’d you ask?
- Lied about a sleepover and made it to the party
- I’m not sure. What are you talking about?
- The other uses vanishes, probably figuring out it wasn’t Zoey.
- Go reply to Kevin and Brad in the chat:
- Boys… just shut up.
- Kevin I think you didn’t make this group to argue with him.
- I don’t care about what you thing. But seems like you don’t want to find Zoey.
- Please help us with this one time. You won’t ever have to deal with me again.
- Unless you guys have done something that raises my suspicion
- Guys, Enough is enough.
- Do you need me to help you out?
- Brad can handle this part alone.
- I need you at school for a different reason.
- Zoey took a couple of counseling sessions with Mr. Davis at your school. Her reports can help us.
- Invading Zoey’s privacy isn’t something I want. It’s against my principles, and I hate that I have to ask this of you.
- Only you can help me with this, Kevin.
- You should be the last person to talk about any ethics, Brad.
- Don’t worry… I have a plan.
- Just remember to keep a low profile.
- Seriously Kevin stop.
- Kevin what about you
- Let me check. Give me a minute.
- Go to Browser and to riverstonehigh.edu.
- Check the teachers, the people icon on the top left, and look for Mr. Davis.
- He’s in room 307 but the Notice says 3rd floor is under construction.
- Tap on that notice and see what is the replacement for 307: 104
- Go back to the conversation with Brad and Kevin and give them that number.
- We don’t have time for that. Hurry.
- Don’t worry let me figure out something.
- You have 3 minutes to figure out.
- Check the map Zoey drew and the one from the school.
- The answer is Room 2 and crate 86.
- I’m flattered.
- What’s inside the box?
- Did you reach the office, Kevin?
- I’ll distract him. You try and figure out a way to sneak in.
- I’m calling him. So just get in as soon as he gets out. Hide somewhere.
- Call Mr. Davis and keep him occupied:
- Hello? I can’t hear you.
- It’s Detective Adam Lane, we had a chat earlier regarding Zoey.
- I need to know the state of mind Zoey was in during that time period.
- Just one last thing please
- What do you think happened to Zoey? You were the counselor after all.
- Fine. You don’t have to help me. I don’t think she trusted you with anything. Maybe you really don’t know anything.
- So um where you busy with something?
- Kevin has the report:
- Enough. Kevin, send me the report.
- Brad I need an update on the box.
- I don’t have time to waste… Tell me what’s in the box.
- Brad then look around for it, it can’t grow legs and walk away on its own.
- Stop messing around and tell me what’s in the box.
- Someone gets control of your phone. It’s crossbar_36
- Go on the browser and enter littlehamsters.com again to talk to him:
- I’m a detective. You might not know this but Zoey has been missing. It’s been more than a month.
- Yes, that is her real name.
- You have access to my phone, suit yourself.
- My turn now. Who are you?
- What do you know about the carwash?
- Did Zoey ever mentioned a symbol of some sort?
- Did she ever mention anything about a pendant? Some clues she left behind led us to a box she hid with a pendant in it.
- She gifted it to Brad?
- Did she ever tell you what was in the box?
- Thanks for connecting the dots for me. I gotta go now.
- Go to Zoey’s phone and complete the data recovery.
- Try unlocking Page 7 of her Diary by solving the riddle:
“My disbelief in fortunes,
dwindled on this date.
As I cracked open the cookie,
it was written in my fate.”
- Go take a look at the new photos that are shown in her Gallery.
- The one with the fortune cookie says:
“A loved one will leave you wounded today. Lucky numbers: 3 1 18 5”
- Go to the diary and enter Care. (each number corresponds to one letter of the alphabet)
- You will read about the pendant that Brad received.
- Go analyze the report sent by Kevin it’s on the desk.
- Zoey was concerned about Brad’s feelings for her.
- Zoey showed signs of stress, sleepless, and anxiety.
Connect the relevant clues:
- Mr. Davis’ notes gave us an insight into Zoey’s mental health. +
- Zoey was experiencing stress leading to difficulty breathing and sleeping.
- Zoey was known to frequently communicate with someone online who goes by the name ‘crossbar_36’. +
- crossbar_36 knows about letters Zoey used to receive.
- According to crossbar_36, Zoey never hid a pendant rather bought it as a gift for Brad on his birthday. +
- Brad told us that he found a pendant with ZB initials written in the box that Zoey hid.
- Go chat with Tim:
- Her phone is still switched off.
- I have been a bit busy.
- Mansonville? She has no reason to go there.
- I have something urgent right now. Can you go and look for her?
- Confront Brad about his lies:
- Brad, when are you planning to tell me what was really inside the box?
- He lied to us. Zoey gifted him that pendant on his birthday.
- Drop the act. Which letters are embossed on the pendant again?
- Brad? Nowhere to hide now.
- Kevin please calm down.
- Answer Amanda’s call:
- Talk to her and she’ll tell you how upset she is with you.
- She’s home and she wants you to go home.
- Message Tim about Amanda:
- Amanda called…
- She’s back now. Thanks for all your help.
- She was a bit upset. I think. She just needs some time.
- She said she was in Hayberg, but you tracked her last location at…
- I don’t know. This is very unlike her. I hope she’s not in any trouble.
- I agree, I need to talk to her.
- Read Zoey’s diary note:
“In the twisted online verse,
I found a friend without a face.
This adorable world of burrows
is the only true safe space.”
- The Burrows name on the littlehamasters.com website is called: brave
- That’s the password to the diary page.
- Recover data by filling in the K shape with white dots, but not the rest of the spaces.
- On the 5×5 grid press these spots in this order:
- Row 1 – 1st and 3rd
- Row 2 – 2nd and 5th
- Row 3 – 2nd and 3rd
- Row 4 – 1st and 4th
- Row 5 – 1st and 4th
- On the 5×5 grid press these spots in this order:
- Check out the Files app that you discovered and remember those coordinates:
- 1.1 N 52.2 W
Connect the clues:
- It’s difficult to make Kevin understand the consequences of his impulsive decisions.+
- Brad betrayed us and lied to our face again. He’s trying to conceal the truth from us.
- The new app reveals a video containing the infamous symbol. +
- Zoey probably figured out a set of coordinates linked to the symbol.
- She mentioned she needs to tell someone about her decisions. Could it be crossbar_36? +
- Zoey decided to chase the truth behind the letters and emails she was receiving.
- Go talk to Kevin:
- Kevin, stop chasing things that might end up hurting you instead.
- Has Brad left already?
- Where did the box go?
- They targeted Zoey’s box?
- Press Brad for any detail about these blackmailers.
- The same symbol? Wait… I have a set of coordinates that Zoey figured out, and they’re linked to this symbol.
- We have no idea where these coordinates lead or why Zoey had them.
- There is more to this case… and I think we’re just getting started.
- Kevin, you can’t go in alone. Absolutely not.
- Your judgement is being clouded by emotions right now. Can’t you see that?
- I am not leaving you alone in the godforsaken place. I’ll stay connected.
- Talk to Kevin on the phone:
- What do you see? Tell me?
- Move quickly and keep sending me pictures. I need to see what you are seeing.
- You’re not actually considering going in, are you? Kevin?
- Please come back. Turn around. Why are you not listening to me?
- It sounds familiar.
- Kevin, what’s happening, kiddo? Talk to me.
- Turn around and trace back your steps. It’s not safe. IT’s not worth the risk.
- Kevin? What was that sound? Are you okay?
- The signs Kevin sends make out the word: FIRE
- Kevin, you need to find somewhere to hide, NOW. You can’t let anyone see you.
- Just stay hidden and you’ll be safe.
- Kevin, try to stay calm… Just focus on your breathing.
- Hold on to something, like your shirt. It’ll give you something tangible to focus on.
- Focus on my voice. Name 3 things you see, 3 things you can hear, and move 3 different body parts.
- Are you feeling better? You might feel lightheaded, but it’ll go away.
- I’m going to help you get out of there, okay?
- The answer for the wall symbols: lips – maze – brain – twirl.
- Jesus… Kevin. Thank god.
- You need to be careful. By careful, I mean return home.
- No windows?
- Kevin, I don‘t think it’s safe.
- That might be the only way in.
- What do you mean it’s me?
- Trust me, Kevin, It’s not how it looks like.
- Call emergency.
- Read the newspaper: Elmwood Forest Mystery: Riverstone Teen in Coma
- Looks like Kevin fell off a cliff, and his phone is missing.
- Check the new item on your desk and read the letter from Brad.
- New clues about Zoey’s box are revealed, and you receive a note to put together.
- The note is a drawing of a Lily and directions to a tree house in the forest.

This second episode of An Elmwood Trail – Play With Fire started off big and looks like there are more mysteries to unravel in a third Episode.
