An Elmwood Trail Episode 3 Walkthrough

Open the new File, tap and hold the print button, and watch the screen recording. When the apps unlock, use the Phone app to call Lily and talk to her and share your screen with her.

Open the Messages and go through the chat with Lily then delete it. Go and talk to Kevin next in the Browser. Click on the File icon in the top right corner. Scroll to line 32 and change “true” to “false”. Now talk to Kevin:

  • Hey Zoey!
    • Hey, finally!
  • Aye… you made it Zoe. I knew you would. Wasn’t it tricky?
    • I had to take Lily’s help. She did something I didn’t understand.
  • Aah… It must have been a piece of cake for her.
    • Why are we talking here again?
  • This is part of that project I mentioned before. I showed you the first version, at least you said you liked it. But, isn’t this better Zoe? And look, I created this new feature. (Listen the voice message)
    • Wow, you really are working hard on this thing.
  • How do you like the app now? I know is not the best. But it took me a lot of time.
    • It does look better. You have to teach me too.
  • I’ll teach you after you get me that burger from Margerie’s. By the way, I also wanted to talk about something else.
    • What is it?
  • I know something is up with you. You are acting different.
    • I’m my usual self. C’mon…
  • We both know you’ve been keeping your distance from everyone lately. We take these silent walks, not saying a word. I know something’s going on inside your head and I want to know. I want to help you. Zoe, I would do whatever it takes. I want you to know I’m here for you.
    • THERE IS NOTHING KEV
  • Then why have you been seeing Mr. Davis? You’ve been having sessions with him, haven’t you? I saw you last Monday.
    • It was about some files that Mr. White asked me to deliver.
  • That took you more than 20 minutes?
    • You know him. He started talking and wouldn’t stop.
  • Zoey… I know you’re hiding something. You don’t seem like yourself lately. Like there is something… Is it something to do with Brad? You can tell me.
    • All right, I know I’ve been a bit distant lately. There’s just a lot going on with me.
  • Well… try me.
    • You are coming to Kyle’s party tonight right? We’ll talk there.
  • You know I hate these parties… they’re loud, crowded, and always end up being more drama than fun. I’m not really the party type.
    • That’s exactly why I need at least one sane person there with me.
  • Please don’t make me go to these ridiculous parties. It’s just not me. God… I can’t stand to be around them.
    • Pleaseee, for me? 🙁
  • Oh don’t do this now. Not this again… You are not forcing me into this. Please. And you know I would even jump in a pit to save you.
    • I would love to see that :’). I’ll get you an invite from Betty.
  • Yay… I’m so excited 🙁
    • oh also, get my bicycle. You said it’s fixed.
  • Yeah, it’s done. I’ll get it.
    • Okay, I’ll talk to you there. Thanks for doing it for me <3 (listen to his voice message)

Open the new mail and write down the number 3459807 then go to your Phone to call it and talk to that mystery person.

Now go to Adam’s phone and open the message from Declan:

  • Is this Adam? Detective Adam Lane?
    • Yes, that’s me. And who am I speaking with?
  • You are working on Zoey’s case, right? You don’t know me. I’m Declan Milburn, Kevin’s father. I heard you were in touch with him… right before… all of this happened.
    • Kevin’s your son? How is he holding up?Have the police shared any updates?
  • He’s… still in a coma. And the police? They haven’t found anything. Honestly, I’m not even sure if they really tried. It’s been unbelievably hard on all of us. His mom… she’s still in disbelief. We don’t know when or if we’ll ever hear his voice again. You must know the situation… Kevin’s story was all over the papers.
    • I read about it. What are the doctors saying now?
  • It’s not looking good. The doctor said his brain suffered sever trauma.
    • If there’s anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
  • You can. That’s exactly why I reached out to you. I believe Kevin was helping you… Helping you find Zoey. Since she went missing, he’s been acting strange… He stopped practicing with his band. He became distant. And since a few days ago, he has never been at home with us… always out, chasing something.
    • Yes, he was doing everything he could. He was determined to find her.
  • That makes sense… So you must have some idea of what he was doing that night. Can you tell me what happened? I won’t share it with anyone. I just need to know what my son went through.
    • I tried to stop him, but he was… impulsive. Kevin was willing to risk everything, no matter what, to find any lead on Zoey.
  • How could you let him go though this alone?
    • I did everything I could to protect him. I only wish he’d listened.
  • I’m not here to point fingers. I know my son… he would’ve gone for it anyway. He’s always been that stubborn. Do you have any idea how all this happened to him?
    • He went into the forest, trying to track down something… it wasn’t safe, but he went anyway.
  • That forest. It never seemed safe to me. I always stopped him from going there. You did what you thought was best. I know you never wanted any of this to happen. Even without you, he would’ve done it for Zoey. They were close those two… I just hope… I hope we can talk to him again. I hope his mother can hear his voice once more. I don’t know what we’ll do if…
    • Stay with his mother. Kevin’s still here, and there’s still hope.
  • Sometimes I want to break down and cry, let it all out. But would that mean I’m giving up on him? After what they did to him… Look at him. What they did to my boy (open the photo he sent)

After the recap of the events, open the new message from the Unknown number:

  • Adam?
    • You as*hole… Why would you do that to Kevin? He is in a coma. If something happens to him, I won’t let you go. I will hunt you down. Whatever you are hiding in that little den of yours, I’ll get to the bottom of it. Kevin sent me pictures. I have seen all of it. It won’t be hard to trace you down.

Tap Kevin’s face then select the events in the order they happened:

  1. The video on Zoey’s phone reveals a set of coordinates.
  2. To find Zoey, Kevin risked his life by going to the location alone.
  3. There was a cave with the mention of the white and black rose.
  4. Outside the cave, there was a house with no windows.
  5. Kevin found a phone and a map with a few locations marked on it.
  6. On the phone, there was only one contact saved… mine. It was Unknown’s phone.
  7. The phone was full of Zoey’s pictures and videos. Kevin misunderstood and thought we worked with Unknown.
  8. He heard someone enter the house and tried to run. He was chased but… he fell…

Tap on Valeria’s photo and connect the relevant clues together:

  • Valeria is a newcomer at Riverstone High. Zoey was one of the first people she talked to.
    • The caller ID of Zoey’s phone call was Valeria. There must be a reason why she planed all this.
  • The night Zoey disappeared, she must have gone to the location Kevin went.
    • Valeria asked Zoey to visit that location. Why?
  • Valeria was the host of the vault8 games played by Zoey.
    • The Vault8 “games” are conducted by a host. Is the host same every time?

Tap the Unknown photo and connect the relevant clues together:

  • Valeria and Unknown could be working together. Valeria sent Zoey to the location where Unknown’s phone was found.
    • The coordinates sent by Valeria led Zoey to Unknown’s hideout.
  • Kevin said the phone had photos and videos of Zoey. Unknown must have been tracking her.
    • The phone at the house with no windows belonged to Unknown.
  • If Zoey was at the location Kevin went, Unknown could be behind her disappearance.
    • But if Unknown is behind her disappearance, why did he ask me to find her? What’s his motive?

Put the images in the right order: clock tower – river – bridge – rock. Use the flashlight to get to the gate, and unlock the lock by stopping the lines when your phone vibrates. Use the batteries wisely (when on red) so you always have light on.

Point your phone at the road to find more batteries along the way and reach each gate. When you reach the tree it says in the corner what you need to do:

  • Pull the short rope once, then long, then the short one twice. Followed by 2 more short pulls. Then another one. And finally three more short pulls and you’ll get the ladder to get up.

Go to the right of the bookshelf and open the lock with the numbers on each shelf above the lock: 2746

Take a look at the note to know which books to push on the bookshelf to the far left: N, X, square with circle, 2 hooks.

Press these in order:

  • First row: 135
  • Second row: 136
  • Third row: 14
  • Forth row: 234

You’ll get a box you can go to the first bookshelf and look inside the box at the magazines. You’ll be told to leave, so you drive back and think about what happened and answer the questions you see and talk to Lily:

  • I don’t even want to waste time asking why you were there. Maybe I should’ve never trusted telling you about the treehouse.
    • I had my reasons.
  • There’s always a reason, isn’t there? I’m just not interested in hearing this one. And now Kevin’s in a coma. I know he was helping you.
    • He was the only one I could trust.
  • You think somehow I am involved in all of this? Don’t you?
    • I don’t know. Are you?
  • Ugh. I’m so done with this. I’m guessing you still don’t have any solid leads, do you? Anything at all?
    • I’ll take care of that, Lily. Why should I share it with you?
  • I know you don’t trust me anymore. I get it.
    • I have questions, but I doubt I’ll get any straight answers from you. I’ll reach out when the time is right.
  • I don’t want to answer your questions. I can find her on my own.
    • Interesting… So there’s more than you know, something you’re not telling me.
  • Obviously, I didn’t tell you everything.
    • People’s lives are at stake here, Lily.
  • Don’t worry. I’ll reach out to you when the time is right.

Go to Zoey’s phone and read page 9 of her Diary. The answer to the riddle is: Lily. After reading it, go to your desk and read the reports. You’ll identify 3 valuable clues that will help you understand. Click on the QR code and enter the code 32781 to find that the third DNA test belongs to a male.

Go to messages on Adam’s phone and talk to Tim:

  • Hey Tim, I have a DNA profile. I am trying to find a match. Where can I do this?
