I am going through a bit of a panic at the moment of writing this article. I am getting, no matter what I do, the following error in Marvel Strike Force: Anomaly Detected. Failed to import information from Facebook. The only option I have is to restart and, trust me, that doesn’t do anything!
So… how to fix this problem? I am sure that everybody is freaking out right now and for all the right reasons. I mean… we did invest some time in the game and some invested money… it’s strange to see that you can’t play because the game can’t connect to Facebook.
And in case you are one of the lucky ones who don’t get this Marvel Strike Force “anomaly detected” error, here it is:
So, how to fix the Marvel: Strike Force Anomaly Detected error that says “Failed to import information from Facebook”?
You can definitely try and do what the application recommends – which is restart it, but that didn’t work for me. I also tried force quitting the app and restarting, waiting for a while, checking my internet connection and so on. I am still debating if I should uninstall and re-install the game completely, but I don’t think that would help in any way.
I actually believe the problem to be Facebook related and not a bug of Marvel Strike Force. I say that because I got a similar error from another application that I tried to use: it was unable to connect to Facebook.
Now, I double checked: Facebook seems to be working fine and I am logged in to my account. So most likely what happens is that we’re either talking about a bug on Facebook’s side, or a change that took game and app developers by surprise and completely broke some things for them.
Apparently, MSF was relying heavily on Facebook (I wasn’t really aware of this until I started getting this anomaly detected message)… and not that it no longer works, we can’t log in to the game.
So the only solution for us is to wait and hope that either Facebook or the creators of the game deal with this ASAP. This is getting annoying for sure!
