Legend of Mushroom Best Class

| |

Here is the guide you need to figure out which class is the strongest in Legend of Mushroom. While all classes are viable, each one has unique strengths.

This guide compiles all available information into one resource. It covers class switching, recommended paths at different stages, in-depth class analysis, and even the newer Spirit Channeler and Beast Tamer paths.

By the end, you’ll know which class fits your playstyle and how to progress efficiently.

Class Switching

You can reset your class by tapping your character portrait (bottom left), selecting Class, and then Reset. This costs 4,000 diamonds and refunds any Awakened Seals and Awakening Scrolls you’ve used.

Even free-to-play players can accumulate enough diamonds for a couple of resets over time. Some players use resets to optimize different phases of the game, while others commit to a single path from the start.

Recommended Classes by Level

The first class you’ll choose is the same for everyone. Do not reset your Adventurer class as there are no other options beside it.

From then on you have a choice between Warrior, Archer, Mage, or Spirit Channeler, after you reach level 30.

When you go to your Class tab there’s an Evolution Preview above your class info that can help you understand what I’m talking about or check out my table at the bottom of this article.

Early Game (Levels 30–100)

Mage-based classes dominate early on due to high area control and burst damage. You can choose between:

Legend of Mushroom - Mage
  • Chronomancer – Healer, strong in PvP and PvE, with skills focusing on cooldown reduction, energy regeneration, stuns, and skill damage.
  • Storm Priest – Spellcaster, high burst damage output. Prioritize skill crit rate and skill damage for quick fights.

Mid Game (Levels 100–120)

Archer-based classes become the best option thanks to consistent DPS and adaptability:

Legend of Mushroom - Archer
  • Sharpshooter – Shadow Sniper, excels in boss fights with high single-target damage. Focus on crit rate, combo, and crit damage.
  • Dual Crossbower – Wind crossbower, considered the top Archer build in this range due to attack speed and burst potential. Prioritize combo rate, combo damage, crit rate, and attack.

Late Game (Levels 120+)

Warrior-based classes shine in higher-level play, excelling in great class for counterattacks and high survival rate:

Legend of Mushroom - Warrior
  • Claymore Wielder – Swordsman, dominant post-120, featuring regeneration, counter mechanics, and defensive stats. Great for PvE, tower modes, and Bighead events.
  • Berserker – Axe warrior, a powerhouse for both PvP and PvE, emphasizing regeneration, counter mechanics, and high attack scaling.

Approaches to Class Selection

This is what you need to do to have the best class at all times depending on what you need in the game and what works best for most players.

Fastest Power Climb – 8,000 Diamonds for Two Resets

  1. Start as Storm Priest until Level 100.
  2. Reset to Dual Crossbower until Level 120.
  3. Reset again to Berserker for endgame dominance.

One Reset – 4,000 Diamonds

  1. Stay Storm Priest until Level 100-120.
  2. Switch once to Berserker and ride it into endgame.

No Resets

  1. Pick Berserker from the start.
  2. Accept slower early-game progression but dominate past Level 120.

Spirit Channeler & Beast Tamer Notes

Legend of Mushroom - Spirit Channeler

These two new paths are relatively new, but not very powerful if you’re aiming to play a perfect game with the best classes out there.

  • Spirit Channeler – Relies on pal-based attacks. Currently average in power but may improve with future updates.
  • Beast Tamer – Considered underwhelming. Unique mechanics but lacks power. Likely to receive balancing changes.

Class Progression Tiers

After choosing Warrior, Archer, Mage, or Spirit Channeler at Level 30, your path refines at Level 50, with passive boosts at Levels 70 and 100+.

Detailed Class Overviews

Warrior

Swordsman → Claymore Wielder → Swordmaster → Martial Sage

  • High survival rate and counter damage. Excels in PvP.

Axe Warrior → Berserker → Warmonger → Warbringer

  • Lower defense but massive counter damage and attack scaling. Best in sustained battles.

Archer

Shadow Sniper → Sharpshooter → Shadow Hunter → Sacred Hunter

  • Specializes in crit damage and single-target burst. Great for bosses.

Wind Crossbower → Dual Crossbower → Arrowgod → Plume Monarch

  • High attack speed and combo potential. Best for multi-target fights.

Mage

Healer → Chronomancer → Holy Guide → Prophet

  • Focuses on stuns, damage-over-time, and skill spam. The name is misleading—there’s no actual healing.

Spellcaster → Storm Priest → Bishop → Darklord

  • Designed for fast, high-damage bursts. Struggles in long fights.

Spirit Channeler

Beast Tamer → Soul HunterBeastsoul MasterBeastmaster

Skeleton MageSpirit ShepherdNecro MasterSupreme Spirit

Both rely on pal-based attacks. It is regarded as underpowered, but may receive buffs in the future to improve it. I only recommend this for players who enjoy unique mechanics over pure strength.

Final thoughts

Every class in Legend of Mushroom can clear content with proper investment, but some classes excel at different points in the game.

Many players follow the Mage → Archer → Warrior progression for optimal efficiency, but ultimately, your choice depends on your playstyle and budget for resets.

With this guide, you can now make an informed decision and dominate Legend of Mushroom at any stage!
