What’s the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word Answers Your Need for Word Guessing

| |

It seems that just like Logo Quiz came out of nowhere to amaze us early last year, word guessing games based on images appear to do the same and the challenge is more than exciting. What’s the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word is the latest game released in this category and it’s deceptively simple in concept, yet charmingly difficult and addictive.

What’s the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word does exactly what its title says: it shows you 4 pictures that are somehow connected and you must find the word that connects them, the thing they have in common. I am not talking here about easy stuff, like being shown 1 cow, 1 bull, 1 lion and 1 dog and you guessing “ANIMAL”. No, the answers are a bit more difficult to find and you will certainly bend your mind in some cases, on the later levels.

What’s even more charming about What’s the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word is that you can’t get past a level unless you complete it. So you can be there for some time, even though the game helps you a little bit: first of, you have a set of 10 letters to choose from, so already you have an advantage. Of course, they are scrambled and rarely they make any sense. That’s when extra help comes: for some in-game coins, you can either reveal a letter from your word or remove some from the 10 you already have. However, only go for this when you really are out of ideas and can’t find an answer, because these options are really expensive and pretty soon you’ll end up without coins and you’ll have to buy some more.

I didn’t catch on the hype of the original What’s the Word? game, which apparently is about the same thing and many people say that 4 Pics 1 Word just copies the concept, which might be true, but personally, I really love this game and as long as it delivers great gameplay and challenging levels… I’m all for playing it!

So have you checked out What’s the Word? 4 Pics 1 Word yet? If not, you really need to – I am at level 75 right now and I am sure that there’s a ton more to find!
