Square Enix have just announced that a real classic has been made available on the App Store today: Final Fantasy V can be downloaded on iOS-powered mobile devices. The great news that the iPhone and iPad version is shadowed a little bit by the relatively high price for a mobile game: $16.99. Ouch!
However, it’s a bit of history that we’re getting here and I am sure that fans of the franchise will rush in to get the remastered version of Final Fantasy V and experience the retro madness on their mobile device!
In the game, you are challenged to embark on an epic adventure as four heroes driven together by fate: Bartz and his Chocobo companion, Princess Lenna of Castle Tycoon, the mysterious Galuf, and the pirate captain Faris. The crystals that bring peace and prosperity to the world – earth, water, fire, and wind – have lost their power and are on the verge of destruction.
There are even more good news about the Final Fantasy V game for iOS: veteran character designer Kazuko Shibuya has returned to recreate the characters and graphics for a completely enhanced mobile experience and this mobile version also includes “The Sealed Temple” from the 2006 release, as well as the Tetsuya Nomura-designed optional boss Enuo, and an extraordinary soundtrack. So the price tag is starting to make sense and proves that Square Enix are not trying just to rip us off!
If you want to download Final Fantasy V, make sure to head to the App Store and get your copy right now!
