If a game – let’s call it Sortee, for example – would ask you to sort the trash, that wouldn’t sound like the most difficult job on earth, would it? Of course not, but don’t hurry to ostracize the game so fast because there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Sortee, which proves to be a really interesting and mind bending puzzler.
Doing exactly what I told it does – asking you to sort out the trash in different categories, the fun in Sortee comes from the fact that the items that you have to sort can easily go under more categories. For example, what is an igloo? Cold, or round, or somebody’s home? Well, as you can see, the puzzler starts here and after you combine it with a fast pace, you’re ready for a helluva ride!
With 400 hand-drawn items that need to be sorted into more than 100 categories, Sortee keeps your fingers and brain busy during 51 increasingly difficult levels. Players can choose between two game modes: “classic” for self-contained levels that gradually get quicker and harder, and “fast” for rapid-fire levels that provide an extra challenge. The game also boasts a distinctive cartoon art style and a catchy electronic soundtrack from producer/DJ Philip TBC.
Sortee is available for the cheap price of Ziltch, but you have to pay 99 cents if you want to unlock the full game. But test it and see for yourself. Personally, I think you’ll love it, especially if you’re into puzzlers – so head over to iTunes and grab it!
